Summer is a great time to retreat, reflect, recharge, and refocus. Here are ways to make that happen.
Retreat
Not easy during a pandemic, but there are ways to retreat. If you can’t get away from home, think about a “staycation”. Close the door and shut off all media influences. Read the Word and pray. You may want to put on some white noise featuring ocean waves, rain, or crickets. Pack snacks, and have food delivered. Let your family and friends know that you are not open to contact during your retreat time.
Reflect
Think about your life goals and the best way to meet them. Ask God to lead you into good decision making. What part is He asking you to play in your success?
Recharge
Silence is a blessing. Embrace it. Be still and let God’s presence wash over you. Talk to Him about what concerns you. Read verses that fill you up with hope and strength.
Refocus
This is a great time to make a list of objectives that will help you reach your goals. Take a journal to put on paper what you need to do next.
